NAPLES (June 9) – The Naples Art Association at The von Liebig Art Center has announced a Call for Artists for its 31st annual Naples National Art Festival, which will be held February 20 and 21, 2010.

The Naples National in 2008 was voted the 5th Best Art Festival in the Country by Sunshine Artist magazine, and the 2009 festival had record attendance of 25,000 guests. The community counts the Naples National among its premiere, must-see events thanks to the high quality of art, the engaging personalities of the artists and the festive atmosphere. Naples has been voted among the top small art towns nationwide, and its art-savvy residents and visitors appreciate and support the visual arts.

Three hundred of the nation’s top artists are juried into the show by outside, independent jurors. Artwork is accepted in these categories: ceramics, fiber/leather, furniture, glass, graphics/printmaking, jewelry, metal, mixed media 2D, mixed media 3D, painting, photography, sculpture and wood.

Artists are invited to apply online at juriedartservices.com or to download an application from naplesart.org. The Downloaded Applications Deadline is September 1, 2009. The Poster Contest Deadline is September 7, 2009. The Online Application Deadline is October 1, 2009.
