NAPLES ART ASSOCIATION

The Naples Art Association (NAA) Members’ Gallery is open during the season to all artists with current NAA membership.  It is a wonderful opportunity to display and sell artwork in all media.   For each of our four yearly exhibits, the pieces  are selected by a changing panel of qualified jurors.  To allow the maximum amount of artists to exhibit in each show, there are size restrictions for the artwork which are clearly defined in our Prospectus.  All work is for sale. This past season, sixteen pieces of artwork sold from the Members’ Gallery!  We are proud that artwork is regularly purchased at each of our shows, and we expect that this trend will continue as we step up promotions  of Members’ Gallery shows.

The artists who participate in Members’ Gallery activities can be assured that they have full marketing and promotional support, as provided by the Naples Art Association staff.  The organization is very proud of member artists and the creativity, talent and value they share at the art center.

Each year we strive to enhance the Gallery and encourage support through participation and volunteerism.   To gather positive input and  brainstorm new ideas to further elevate the prestige of our Gallery, we called upon a small steering committee of seasoned artists who are long-term members of the NAA. We are excited about the results and would like to share the changes with you below:

• Cash awards of $50 each will be awarded in three categories
  *Technical Achievement
  *Innovation/Experimentation
  *Bold Spontaneity/Expressive Power
   
• The entry fee will increase from $10 to $15 per show, which will help to fund the cash awards.
  
• Receiving of artwork will be on Mondays from 10 am to 4pm only.
  
• Entry forms have been updated with new signature line.
      
• The website will eventually include Bios of the jurors to whom we are most grateful.  They volunteer their time and expertise to jury our shows.  From this list, a changing anonymous panel for each show will be chosen.
  
• The format to access info on the website will be easier to read and print.  There will be separate links to all of the pertinent information, as well as new links.  Simply print out the Prospectus and Calendar and Entry Forms as needed.
  
• Look for the 2012-2013 schedule for the Members’ Gallery coming soon.
