Third on Canvas

Celebrate the Birthplace of Old Naples with Painting Days and Demonstrations

Shoppers and diners strolling Third Street South on Feb. 15 and 16 can watch over 40 internationally recognized plein air, still life, abstract and figurative artists as they create their works of art, inspired by the historic and picturesque Birthplace of Old Naples, see the pieces develop over the two days, and chat with the artists about their technique and process. Artists include local favorites Paul Arsenault, Suzanne French Luker and Janine Wesselmann as well as plein air artists Robert Gruppe, Mustafa Keyhani and Donald Mosher. This year’s event features 18 artists new to Third on Canvas.

The completed works will be on view at The von Liebig Art Center, 585 Park St., from Feb. 19 through 24 and sold via silent and live auction during a Gala on Feb. 24 at the art center that features a light supper buffet and wine bar. Tickets are $95 and include a $25 purchasing incentive toward the live auction.
