The Naples Art Association is pleased to announce that it will once again host “Nuts About The von Liebig” on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from noon to 4:00 PM at The von Liebig Art Center in downtown Naples. Marking its eighth year, “Nuts About the von Liebig” is a free event for the family and all are invited to attend. Attendance at the 2010 family event topped over 700 children and adults.

This year’s event will feature coconut painting, face painting, crafts, a clown, music, food, and more. The Art Center will be joined by the Naples Zoo, Conservancy of Southwest Florida, Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, The Golisano Children’s Museum, and other community partners. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children will also be on site to conduct a free Child ID program. “Nuts About The von Liebig” is generously sponsored by Costco of Naples and Neapolitan Family Magazine.

In addition to the free children’s event, the Naples Art Association will also host Naples oldest outdoor art fair, Art in the Park.  From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 5, 2011, Naples Art Association members will be on-hand to display and sell a variety of unique artwork including jewelry, paintings, ceramics, and more. Art in the Park is located on Park Street, just to the west of The von Liebig Art Center.

The Art in the Park series occurs the first Saturday of the month November through April.  Art in the Park is generously sponsored by Florida Weekly, Happenings Arts and Entertainment Magazine and The Office of Steve Stolz of Edward Jones.
