Art in the Park 2012-13
The Naples Art Association has formed an advisory steering committee of Art in the Park artists to talk about ways to improve the show from a logistics point of view. Topics of discussion included costs and selling the show. Taking all their input into consideration, we made choices that will help us fund additional advertising, maintain affordability and continue to promote the distinctiveness of this Member Artists’ opportunity. Costs that CountBooth fees for November, December and April are $105. These three events anchor Art in the Park as a venue that not only succeeds in the busiest time of year, but one that also offers the community wonderful artistic opportunities during the holidays and on the cusp of the locals’ season. January, February and March are priced differently, and reflect a cost reduction from last year’s fees. These months’ events take place as part of larger happenings at the art center and benefit from broader advertising exposure. In January, Art in the Park is situated next to one of our biggest juried festivals. February’s Art in the Park is marketed alongside the annual event Nuts about The von Liebig. March holds its own in the Fifth Ave South vicinity, and it takes place in the heart of season. These three months will help the association fund promotion of Art in the Park and highlight it as a premiere artistic feature of Naples. Requirements:Art in the Park is a membership opportunity, providing artists a venue to sell and market their work while broadening their customer base. It also provides a setting for artists to interact with other artists sharing ideas, industry changes and the camaraderie of creative people.
