Celebrity Martini Glass Auction is Accepting Submissions

The Celebrity Martini Glass Auction (CMGA) is seeking talented artists to be considered as glass designers for the 2016 signature event which will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Artis-Naples. Art mediums CMGA welcomes are water color, mixed media, textile, clay, mold, 3D imagery, paint and new media. The 2016 CMGA volunteer artists will benefit from their talent being showcased at the event, seen on the CMGA website and promoted through social media, garnering a global audience. Volunteer artists will receive recognition in the CMGA annual collector’s auction booklet which is viewed by A-list publicists and agents from around the world. Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild Presents Art Attack

The Naples Art Association hosts The Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild’s exhibition, Art Attack. Receiving is September 9, 2015 from 10am until 1pm. This exhibit is open to members in good standing of the Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild, i.e., those who have fulfilled participation requirements and paid their 2014 dues. You may join the Guild at any time prior to Receiving or during Receiving. Calendar year 2015 dues are $35. Participation requirements also include volunteering or signing up to volunteer with the Guild prior to Receiving. Sunny Isles Jazz Fest

Since its inception in 2008, the Jazz Fest has become a signature event of Sunny Isles Beach. Every year, an artist is selected to paint our Jazz Fest Poster. This is your opportunity to submit an original painting to be chosen as a lasting symbol of the city’s love for rich and cultural experiences. The winning artist will receive $500 cash and have a special ceremony recognizing them during the event on Saturday, November 21st. This contest is free to enter and is open to all South Florida residents. Submissions will be accepted between September 1 and October 1, 2015.

Art for Democracy Student Art Competition

The Supervisor of Elections invites student artists to participate in the Art for Democracy Program. Twelve winning pieces will be featured in a 2016 election-based calendar distributed by the Supervisor of Elections Office at local outreach and educational events, potentially reaching 190,000 voters. A $500 donation will be awarded to the art program at the school of the “Best of Show” entry and an additional $500 scholarship will be awarded to one high school senior winning entry.

Visual Arts Center Punta Gorda’s 10th Biennial National Art Exhibition

The Prospectus for the 10th Biennial National Art Exhibition is now available!The entry deadline for the 2016 NAE is December 4, 2015. Total prize money is more than $7,000, with the work winning Best in Show taking home $2,000.

Art Council of Southwest Florida

Members of the Naples Art Association are eligible for a host of opportunities through the NAA’s affiliation with the Art Council of Southwest Florida. All members of Art Council of Southwest Florida’s member organizations are eligible for benefits including exhibition opportunities. There are 19 available opportunities including Spring Show 2016 and the Coconut Point Co-op Gallery. Other opportunities include workshops, art classes, and special art related trips at reduced rates.
